This HBO film explores the passionate and complex relationship that Americans have with their dogs. A family with four beloved Ridgebacks must come to terms with what to do when one  bites a young girl. A Florida couple spend hundreds of thousands to clone their dog.  Intrepid rescuers  find homes for abandoned dogs in rural shelters where hundreds of thousands are destroyed each year - many in gas chambers. One Nation Under Dog is a look at how far some dog lovers will go for the animals they love.
