Allyson Luchak

AMPAS member Allyson Luchak is an award-winning producer of feature documentaries and series for theatrical release, broadcast television and streaming. She is a two-time Emmy, Peabody and Columbia DuPont award winner for excellence in broadcast journalism. Her credits include programming for HBO, HBO Max, Netflix Originals, CNN Films, PBS, Arte, Vice, Canal + and her films have premiered at festivals around the world. Most recently, she produced Whatever It Takes which premiered at the SXSW Film Festival in 2024. Previously, Allyson produced Sex Diaries, a four-part series for HBO. She produced 15 Minutes of Shame alongside Executive Producer Monica Lewinsky for HBO Max. Allyson's feature documentary This is Not a Movie about journalist Robert Fisk premiered at TIFF in 2019 and was released theatrically in October 2020. Her 8-part series Trial 4 began streaming in November 2020 on Netflix, reaching the #3 position within days of its release and a place on the New York Times "Best Documentaries on Netflix" list. Earlier work includes the iconic, award winning 13-part documentary series The Staircase , which The New York Times described as “a masterpiece” as well as the Impact Partners documentary, City of Joy, and Enlighten Us for CNN Films.
Jenny Carchman
Executive Producer/Director
Jenny Carchman is a five-time Emmy-nominated documentary filmmaker. Most recently, she directed Whatever It Takes which premiered at the SXSW Film Festival in 2024. She directed and produced Sex Diaries, a four-part series for HBO. She was the director and executive producer of the Emmy-nominated series, Gossip. Jenny produced and directed the Emmy-nominated series, The Fourth Estate which was also nominated for a BAFTA, a Critic’s Choice Award, the Cinema Eye Honors, and the Humanitas Prize. She produced and directed the Emmy-nominated short The Family Business: Trump and Taxes. Jenny also produced and directed the award-winning series We Are Witnesses for The New Yorker and The Marshall Project. The series was nominated for an Emmy and won numerous awards including the 2018 Edward R. Murrow Award. Jenny produced the Grammy-nominated and Academy Award-shortlisted series Long Strange Trip. She directed Enlighten Us for CNN Films and has produced several documentaries and special projects for Academy Award-winning director, Martin Scorsese (Public Speaking, George Harrison: Living in the Material World). Her other producing credits include Koch, Citizen Jane: Battle for the City and many others. She is a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, the Television Academy of Arts and Sciences, and the Directors Guild of America. Jenny is a mentor for the Academy Gold program, served for five years as a board member of the Ghetto Film School, and is a volunteer for City Harvest in New York City.
